PSORIASIS
Psoriasis is considered as a skin infection. Actually, psoriasis disease occurs only when the immune system
attacks healthy cells. Psoriasis disease occurs due to disturbances of the
immune system.
This causes many skin cells to grow,
causing dry and hard rashes on the skin, as skin cells are formed on the
surface of the skin. It has nothing to do with cosmic or skin type, however
after this disease, there can be many other diseases and troubles related to
it.
Psoriasis is often caused by emotional
trauma or stress, although there are other reasons. According to ancient
science Ayurveda, psoriasis occurs due to imbalance of air and phlegm.
Psoriasis is a skin disease, also known
as skin asthma. Skin cells grow very fast in this. The disease exceeds the
multiplication of skin cells 10 times faster than normal growth. In this, a
crust is formed on the top layer of the skin and it peels off. This causes
dryness in the skin and causes white spots. The skin becomes red due to itching
and wounds are formed in it.
Typically, cell regeneration occurs and
balances with dead skin cells. As skin cells begin to develop abnormally, they
reach the top of your skin and leave behind a red plaque covered with white
scales. It usually occurs in the knees, elbows and sometimes in your skull.
There are several reasons why skin cells
behave abnormally. The common reason is that they are related to the way your
immune system performs. As the dead underlying
cells reach the surface of the skin, they cause accumulation, red plaques that
are covered with white scales. This disease usually occurs on the elbow, knee
and scalp.
Psoriasis can also affect the palms,
torso and soles of the feet. Psoriasis can also be found associated with timely
psoriatic arthritis, causing swelling and pain in the joints. It is estimated
that there are 10 to 30 percent people in India who have psoriasis, who suffer
from psoriatic arthritis.

PSORIASIS SYMPTOMS
Health expert said, “Unlike other skin
diseases, the disease named psoriasis is caused by the hyperactive immune
system, in which the body's immune system attacks healthy cells and tissues.”
At the same time, another health expert
says that we do not take the symptoms of psoriasis seriously in our society.
Ignoring the disease and lack of awareness regarding psoriasis disease is not
able to detect the disease on time and there is a lot of hindrance in the
treatment of this disease. There is a cure for other diseases that occur on the
skin and body, but there is no cure for psoriasis. Therefore, it is very
important to be aware of the symptoms of psoriasis and by looking at some of
its special symptoms, the process of treatment of the disease should start.
·
Common symptoms
of psoriasis include itching in the affected normal organs of the body.
·
The crust-like
top layer on the skin accumulates.
·
Red spots and
rashes occur in the body.
·
Psoriasis is
characterized by red, rough spots on the skin, itching and obesity, bruising
and blisters in the palms or soles of the feet.
·
Swollen and red
skin patches covered by slavery, loose scales. It can be painful, itchy, and
can sometimes cause cracks and blood.
·
Scars of
fingernails and toes can form and change color. It may also begin to crumble or
may detach from the nail beds.
·
Scale and
patches or crust may form on the head of psoriasis patients.
·
Red rough spots
occur due to increased number of skin cells in the skin's unusable layer.
Generally, the skin cells become old and fall from the bottom of the body. This
process takes about 4 weeks. Skin cells begin to fall within 3 to 4 days after
some individuals have psoriasis. This excess loss of skin cells causes
psoriasis lesions on the skin. These symptoms range from mild to moderate. This
can lead to a condition of deformity and disability.
There
are some factors that can cause rash in people suffering from bark disease.
These factors include skin breakdown (chemicals, infection, scratching, burning
sensation from the sun), alcohol, hormone changes, smoking, drugs like
son-blocker and stress. Bark disease can have emotional and physical effects on
individuals. Bark diseases occur in individuals with arthritis. This causes
pain and can also cause a person to become infirm. Bark disease is not
contagious. It does not feel from one person to another.
PSORIASIS TYPES
Psoriasis trauma can occur for a variety
of reasons, from emotional stress to streptococcal infection. A recent study of
the disease has indicated that some abnormality in the immune system is the
factor that triggers the disease. Different types of psoriasis are :
Plaque Psoriasis
It is the most common form of psoriasis.
This is a type of psoriasis that has red patches on the skin. They are covered
by Silvery Dead Skin Sales. Due to this problem occurring in 8-10 percent of
people, silver and white lines are formed on the body. This psoriasis occurring
below the elbow, knee, scalp and back causes red spots and burning sensation.
Plaque psoriasis causes a lot of itching and in some cases excessive dryness or
scratching can also cause bleeding. If it is
in your scalp, it will also have white crusts that look like dandruff. If it is
in your nails, they will begin to break and in some cases may even come out
completely.
Guttate Psoriasis (Spotted
Psoriasis)
This psoriasis, found in young people,
emerges on the body as a small pink spot. This problem is mostly found on the
arm, elbow and scalp. There are stress, scars like skin injury and reaction of
medicines. This type of psoriasis usually produces small red spots
on both the torso and legs. Fortunately, it does not spread over a large area.
It can also affect the ears, face and scalp. It is more
common in people under 30 years of age. It also causes wounds, although they are not as thick as the wounds caused
by plaque psoriasis. People who
are carriers of strep (gram-positive bacteria) or are genetically susceptible
to the disease. Usually in cold weather it can develop in them, because the
skin becomes dry in it.
Pustular Psoriasis
This type of psoriasis primarily engulfs adults. Pimples
or blisters with non-infectious pus are formed in it, and redness occurs in the
surrounding skin. The skin usually
looks red before blisters form, and it often causes itching and pain in the
affected area. This type of psoriasis
fills pus on palms and soles. They are painful and itchy at the same time. It
causes flu-type symptoms which include fever, dizziness, loss of appetite, etc.
Erythrodermic Psoriasis
Experts consider it one of the most dangerous forms of
the disease. It spreads over a large area of the skin. This pasteuria may
develop as psoriasis as well as red spots. It is more common in people with unstable plaque psoriasis and wounds
persist indefinitely. This
type of severe psoriasis causes problems such as itching, increased heart rate
and low or high body temperature. Untreated psoriasis can also cause pneumonia.
It looks like a severe sunburn as it makes the skin bright red. This type of
psoriasis causes a fast heart rate, itching and pain. It should be mentioned
that this is an emergency that should be consulted by a doctor.
Inverse Psoriasis
This disease is very common under the skin, such as on
the sides, groin or breasts. It is very uncomfortable because the moisture in
the sweat in these organs keeps the skin very sensitive.
It usually appears in the form of large patches, but in
this type of psoriasis the crusts do not come out. It is also very easy to
detect. It spreads over a large area of the skin around the skin-fold.
Psoriasis bytes of this type are red, smooth, shiny and without line. This problem occurs under the armpits, groin and breast. This discomfort is caused by sweating and rubbing.

Nail Psoriasis
If the nails are itchy, or they develop irregular
surfaces or they are coming out of their roots, then it is probably nail
psoriasis. It is usually similar to scalp or plaque psoriasis.
Symptoms may include irregularity in the surface of the
fingernails, the splitting of the fingernails or the dislocation of the entire
nail.
This problem occurring on the nails of hands and feet occurs in people suffering from Arthritis. Due to this, pain in the nails, change in the color of the nails, chalk-like elements are filled inside the nails. Mostly this problem is due to fungal infection.

Scalp Psoriasis
This type of psoriasis is often mistaken for a serious
dandruff problem. People who have other types of psoriasis may also fall prey
to this type. It starts with fine
crusts, then becomes thick, thick crusts. They can spread throughout the scalp
and surrounding area such as the neck, ears, and forehead.
Psoriatic Arthritis
This problem, which is found in 70
percent people, is found for a long time. Due to this, there are problems like
joint pain, swelling in the fingers and ankles, etc. Only after complete
treatment of this disease can one get rid of it.

PSORIASIS
CAUSES
The exact cause of psoriasis is not known but there can
be many other factors that can cause psoriasis.
Immune System
Our immune system helps protect us from infections of
viruses and bacteria, but if something goes wrong, our system starts working on
the contrary. Researchers believe that the immune system is a reason for
psoriasis. When our immune system is working overactive then it creates
inflammation inside the body. A large number of healthy cells are produced.
These extra cells then start coming on the surface of the skin very quickly.
These skin cells that appear on your skin are psoriasis. It is red in color and
causes inflammation in the skin.
Hormonal Changes
During puberty or menopause, this issue can be seen on
the skin. If you are a pregnant woman, you are more likely to get psoriasis.
Once the delivery is done, you can see it again on the surface of the skin.
Alcohol
People who drink alcohol regularly have a higher risk,
especially among younger men. It should also be mentioned that alcohol also
makes treatment less effective.
Medication
Some medicines such as lithium (which treats bipolar
disorder and mental illness), high blood pressure medications (including
propranolol, beta-blockers, ACE inhibitors, quinidine), antimalarial drugs
(including chloroquine, hydroxychloroquine, plaquinol and quinacrine) ) May
increase. There is more to psoriasis.
HIV
Patients with HIV have a higher risk of psoriasis. But,
as soon as you start treating HIV, you will see yourself better.
Sunlight
A little sunlight is good for health as it provides
natural vitamin D to the body. But sometimes, sunburn can make the situation
worse, so it is advisable to take proper care of your skin before going out in
the sun.

PSORIASIS
DIAGNOSIS
Your doctor can check if you are having psoriasis or if
you have plaques on your ears, nails, elbows, scalp, belly button and knees. If
the doctor is still unclear, he will take a small sample of your skin known as
a biopsy. Later, it will be sent to a lab and your skin sample will be examined
under a microscope. This will make it clear what type of psoriasis you have or
what kind of infection or disease you are suffering from.
PSORIASIS
TREATMENT
As stated earlier, the purpose of the treatment plan is
to prevent your skin cells from multiplying first. Later treatment focuses on
getting your skin back in shape. To achieve this, multiple treatments can be
done at the same time. Your doctor will examine the nature of your skin and
identify its possible cause before starting treatment. The most common methods
would be the use of topical creams. These ointments are based and apply to your
raw skin and your affected area. Results may be slow, but still, this treatment
works effectively in 60% of cases.
This ointment may be a combination of salicylic acid, coal tar, anthralin etc. Light therapy can also work against the exploitation of skin cells. These treatments use natural or UV light on the skin to control cells expansion.
Your doctor will guide you about the type of light to use and the amount of exposure you require. In some cases, you can take oral medications or injectable drugs to prevent glare. It should be noted that all these drugs do not work at all. Therefore, care should be taken to identify your skin type and your health condition before receiving these medicines. You can discuss and consult your doctor about these medicines.
